Switching glue is the thing every tech is scared to do. One bad set and your client messages at midnight. But staying on a bad supplier is costing you more than a weekend of adjustment. Here's how to switch properly.

Step 1 — Sample first

Do not commit to a full bottle before trialling on 2-3 clients. Sample glue is exactly this — sample-sized so you can test.

Step 2 — Know what you're switching to

Our adhesive is 0.5-1s dry. If you're used to 2-3s glue, you'll feel fast. Hands adapt in 2-3 sets. Don't panic when lashes stick sooner than expected — that's the point.

Step 3 — Set up environment

• Humidity 40-75%
• Temperature 20-25°C
• Shake glue 60 seconds before opening
• Dispense fresh drops every 20-30 minutes

Step 4 — Add primer + Superbonder day one

Don't switch just the glue. Add the full workflow at the same time. You'll compare old adhesive (no workflow) with ours (full workflow). Difference is undeniable.

Step 5 — Track your first 5 clients

Message each at day 14 and day 21. Ask how retention is. 4 out of 5 reporting improvement = switch confirmed. 3+ reporting drops = back to Step 3 (environment issue).

Don't do this

Don't switch on a booked-out weekend. Mid-week.

Don't skip sampling. Bottles aren't returnable once opened (hygiene industry-wide).

Don't blame the glue after 1 client. Three sets minimum.
